Jonathan N. Kromm Biography

Jonathan Kromm is the Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Product Development for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. He is responsible for customer research and market analysis, product development and lifecycle management, customer experience, advertising and brand communication. Prior to joining CareFirst, Mr. Kromm was Deputy Executive Director and later Acting Executive Director of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, the state’s health insurance marketplace formed under the Affordable Care Act.

Mr. Kromm earned his PhD in Philosophy, Health Policy and Management and a master’s degree in Health Sciences, Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins University, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
