Michelle Wright Biography

Michelle Wright joined CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in 1991 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Ms. Wright is responsible for the Wellness & Disease Management programs that serve CareFirst’s 3+ million members. Before joining CareFirst, she did actuarial work for Lockheed Martin. Ms. Wright is a current appointee to both the Maryland Governor’s Workforce Investment Board (GWIB) and the Baltimore County Workforce Investment Board. She serves on the Board of Directors for Service Coordination, is a member of the Women’s United Executive Council for United Way, and serves as Executive Chair for CareFirst’s United Way Campaign.

Ms. Wright has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a secondary major in Computer Science. She has a Master’s degree with a concentration in Financial Management from Johns Hopkins University.
