CareFirst Provider Participation Agreement - Coming Soon!

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and CareFirst BlueChoice, Inc. (CareFirst) are amending and restating our Participation Agreement with all our providers. This restated Participation Agreement is intended, among other things, to improve the relationship we want with our network providers.
The new Participation Agreement, along with a high-level summary of changes, is being mailed to the provider network later this month. The new Agreement is effective October 1, 2020. No action is needed on your part to accept the Agreement, and there are no recredentialing requirements because you are already credentialed with our networks. Additionally, there are no changes to your fee schedule or reimbursement rates.
