Maryland Department of Health and DC Health Release Coronavirus Guidance
CareFirst is working with local health departments to share Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) information and guidance with our network providers. The Washington DC Health Department (DC Health) recently issued guidance on testing and personal protective equipment for COVID-19. Read their health alert for more information. Additionally, the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) also issued guidance for COVID-19 testing.

CareFirst is working to identify barriers and solutions for coronavirus care for our members as this situation unfolds, and will continue to share information and updates on our website. Additionally, we are evaluating our procedures, policies, and systems so that we are aligned with the guidance from local, state and federal agencies.
