CareFirst Enhanced Digital Experiences
As part of our commitment to improving our members’ experience through value, engagement and self-service, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) is making enhancements to our Drug and Pharmacy Resource pages as well as our Find a Doctor tool.
To deliver a more consistent and uniform member experience that is solely CareFirst branded, we are updating how we co-brand with CVS, including on our websites, member ID cards and other communications materials. We have already begun making updates behind the scenes. Be assured, these updates will not impact any features on the My Account pages or member benefits. In addition, CVS will continue to be our Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).
On November 2, 2023, we will launch our refreshed and rebranded Drug and Pharmacy Resource pages through My Account.
The updated site will be more cohesive and intuitive while still delivering our members the same personalized digital experience and easy, secure navigation to their confidential information.
There will be no changes to how these pages are accessed. Members will still be able to get there via My Account.
- Log in to My Account
- Select Coverage in the main menu
- Select Drug and Pharmacy Resources in the drop-down
In addition, we are taking steps to improve our Find a Doctor tool. By listening to members’ feedback and using digital analytics, we are making enhancements that will allow members to:
- Select their primary care provider (PCP) within the Find a Doctor tool—instead of linking back to My Account to complete their selection
- Search and review a list of virtual care providers, including CloseKnit, regardless of where a member is located
