Certain Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Members Changed Plans Effective January 1, 2021

Effective Jan. 1, 2021, JHU members with prefix PJN have a new plan. These members (both bargaining and non-bargaining) are now covered under the BlueChoice Advantage with a Preferred Provider Network (PPO) overlay.

What does this mean?

JHU members with prefix PJN can go to a PPO provider and receive in-network benefits within the CareFirst service area.

This also means that JHU members with prefix PJN have the flexibility to use a PPO lab and radiology providers without the restrictions of the BlueChoice product.
